Why does reload even exist?

Command /reload is known to cause a lot of bugs with many plugins. Why does it exist?
Wouldn't it be much safer for it to be removed as the whole server can be broken after /reload?

idk, i think just like shut down your computer, you can also turn off the monitor so you can work again quickly just enable the monitor again
but i don't think leave your computer running always is a good idea

Not really, because turning your monitor off and on doesn't even do anything. /reload is more like logging out and back on (which on Windows closes active programs, but not background ones and doesn't clear cache) instead of shutting your computer down and rebooting.

If you know who that is then you should probably either tell them to stop or if you already have (or made an announcement to all of them) then de-op them. Because if they're abusing the reload command, than as much as I hate to say it, they'll probably find something else to mess with now that's gone
