    I use PhpStorm because I found a way to keep the program working without any costs. I only use github's editor when I'm at my school.

    Crack no, illeagal... maybe. The method was legitimately build into the uninstallation to remove the previous license key. This also allows me to keep uninstalling and reinstalling trial versions using different keys that are given each install

    i dont think that counts as illegal since you arent manipulating the software itself, you are just exploiting it's features

    Just apply for the student license or stop being stingy and pay for the software. It must be good if you keep using it so why not do the ethically correct thing and pay for the software?

    I already paid for a whole year of it, I see no reason to have to pay for it more than that.
