I have Pocketmine running within Screen and it seems to work fine, with one exception. When I logout of the console and come back later, I switch to screen (screen -r) and I cannot execute any commands on the console of the Pocketmine server. It allows me to type, but I get no feedback, no response.

    Thoughts?

Strange, it works perfectly fine for me...

Can you tell me how you are detaching from the screen?

Have you tried using CTRL + A and then pressing D?

This sounds more like a PHP/PocketMine issue, if you see what you type and ordinary output from the server.
Do you get any feedback if you type Ctrl+C?

Do you have anything running? Check how many sessions you have running using the following command:
    screen -ls

Also, when creating a session consider assigning a name eg. screen -S mc1
