Setting spawn

For some reason when I set the world spawn point I always spawn on the corner of a block - Not in the centre. Is there anyway I can set it to the centre? Also I am using EssentialsTP for the /spawn command. Are there any other plugins that offer the /spawn command (except from MSpawns)?

The centre of a block is at half the coordinate as seen in this screenshot:

 

On PMMP servers the /setworldspawn command will set the spawn in the middle of the 4 blocks you are closest to, and by my knowledge there is no way to change that. Maybe try making your spawn 4 blocks and setting the spawn there instead of making it a 1-block spawnpoint?
