We have been more than one year and a half here, and most still-active members from forums.pocketmine.net have already been verified. We no longer need the "Verified" tag, because most members have already been recognized by the community. (It only makes sense to try to verify new members) It now gets confusing to new users, thinking that "Verified" is supposed to verify famous/official accounts (like Twitter), while it is something entirely different Here I give a few suggestions for changes: Remove the "Verified" tag It is already useless, and it just makes new members want to have that cool badge under their avatar. But there may still be other members who haven't been active for two years and just came here. Should we still verify them? And for how long? Rename the "Verified" tag to "Veteran" We only verified considerably well-known members from the old forums, e.g. they should have at least a certain number of posts/likes. So it would be correct to call them "veterans" of PocketMine. But should old members who only joined this forum but did not join the previous one (maybe two years later) be marked "Veteran" too? And what would be the criteria? Make it a real verification tag Verify everyone new, if they were previously well-known somewhere else related to PocketMine. How do we define the criteria for "well-known" though? And wouldn't this be a huge workload for staff? Do nothing Nothing to explain here, let me quote something to fill it up.
I would say, start it all over again... At the moment, "Verified" means nothing. Any old soul can get it. It used to mean something... and now it has lost all meaning
Also take into account the 1 trophy point for "Elder verified". Possibly duplicates the "72 years old" trophy though.
I support deleting this badge. OP's argument is pretty good, the only thing I have to add is that it's pretty much useless whatever name it bears, merely showing us that person who received it had a lot of posts/likes on the old forums. And making it a real verification tag would be troublesome for staff. Spoiler yea, I kinda want a badge too, but I only had 19 posts...
I'd like to transfer the "verified" tag to be either "Veteran" or "Forum Elder" We can come up with a new set of requirements for users to be verified as well, but I think the people who have been in the community the longest should have some sort of recognition for sticking with it.
I think the point is that registering on the forums long enough is almost equivalent to "elder". No need to make another trophy for it.
