1st is for linux
2nd is for osx

Shouldn't those commands be the other way around? It's curl for OSx and wget for linux.

Actually both OSes can have both of them. Just test which you have. You can install both on both OSes.

Well yes, but Linux usually just comes with wget and you have to install curl.
