    Hi,

Iv been looking for a kit plugin like this for ages but never seem to find one like it.

I would like to request a Kits plugin which has the ability of creating custom kits ingame using commands like /kit create. One plugin that is similar to what im requesting is the kit plugin LEET offers, leet kits. server owners can create custom kits with items and armour etc you choose all from the comfort of a command.

Sometimes it isn't possible for everyone to access config files therefore having a kit plugin which is fully configurable ingame would make it much easier for server owners and staff to create kits.

It would also have the ability of choosing the cost of a kit. Economy plugin I use is EconomyAPI by OneBone.

The commands would work like /kit create <kitname> (price) <itemID>, <itemID>, <itemID> etc.
The way you would receive a kit is /kit give <kitname> .
The way you would delete a kit would be /kit delete <kitname>
the way you would list kits would be /kit list

Really hope someone can try to make this!

I can give more detailed info if you are interested.

    Many thanks.

A server owner with no access to config files is not a server owner

Well that's true however its not always convenient to have to edit the config everytime u want to add, modify or remove a kit. If this was to be done by a staff, they may not have access to the server files

personally i think that would be overkill for most developers, that's why no one was bothered about it for quite some time

Attach the "l" of leet to "users" and replace the "u" with "o" :D

you should provide a good reason why we as developer should attempt to do it when you users can just edit the config

Most of the reason is pure convenience, Its much easier and time saving to just be able to do everything by command and have the ability to make any changes, additions or deletions of kits just by simply usuing a command than have to edit the config manually everytime.

Configs are also very sensitive in that incorrect spacing and indentations can cause the whole config to not work. More time consuming and This is not easy for everyone to do which is why a command for this task would be a good alternative as it does half the work for you.

Sometimes, a server owner isn't the only one that always does everything. U could give the task of creating kits to a staff but as editing config is the only way, this would not be possible as you may not want to give them access to the server files just for this one task. Adding commands is more User-Friendly imo.

If adding commands would be something that's useless then why does the Functions plugin have it for creating commands? Surely all could just be done using the config. Just an example.
I understand making a plugin completely from scratch will be time consuming and most will not want to spend time doing this when theres already dozens out there that use a config already. However an edited version of an exsisting config-only kit plugin which also features commands would be equally good. One plugin that could be used for this is AdvancedKits. Just one possible way.

Most times developers avoid making command to edit config out of convenience too

It would take a bit of effort to trying to implement some command to edit the config that will be able to do as flexible as just letting user to edit the config, which the time and effort that could be spend somewhere else better

As for some plugin, adding a config editor could be as simple as setting a boolean to crazy hatchery-ed values sometimes, it would required to edit it in pieces which admin types the value one by one into chat due to one line of string could only be that flexible, lets just say it all boils down to implementation nightmare on the developer's side of things depending on how bad the nightmare could be, some developers may wish to avoid it as best as they could, but if it's simple they probably wouldnt mind adding a small touch
