Graphic cards: AMD Radeon HD 4800 (twice), linked via Crossfire-X cable Mainboard: https://www.gigabyte.com/de/Motherboard/GA-EP45-DS3R-rev-10#ov Some weeks ago i tried to upgrade my graphic card drivers, to get the crossfire option in amd catalyst to work.. now i have a 1024*something resolution, in average 10 fps whilest gaming and lags everywhere.. I tried to install the old driver, but for some reason windows always kicks it out, and i have almost no options for the resolution.. Though i am an IT specialist, i am stuck here.. The latest driver i found was released in August, which gave me a ton of resolutions to choose from, even some that are higher than my screen resolution.. but not the exact one i need Also, i can not install AMD Catalyst (ReLive) nor Adrenaline. It errors saying "Hardware not identified" I am helpless.. do you know a fix that might patch it? PS: also thought about getting another graphics card that fits my mainboard, but i can not find any card that is compatible with the mainboard and has enough performance improvement over the 4800 except a Nvidia Quadro K2200, which sadly does not have VGA as i saw (card: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Quadro+K2200&id=2947 comparison: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare/Quadro-K2200-vs-Radeon-HD-4810/2947vs2829) What should i do?
Yeaa.. my SyncMaster screen (https://www.samsung.com/de/support/model/LS24LRZKUV/EN/) is a bit old and does not support HDMI afaik //edit nevermind, checked the interfaces and it has hdmi, no idea why i never used it as my graphic card supports it too When uninstalling it completely (device manager, clicking "uninstall drivers" when uninstalling the device) and rebooting the pc the old driver just reappears. Actually just today i looked up how much a pc with the parts i'd like would cost, about 1800€ basic overview:
Are you even running AMD's driver? Because to me that sounds like Windows just falls back to the standard VGA driver because it can't find (a working?) one.
