How to Make my server text name color

Hey,I cant change my MOTD or server name to colour letter ive try changing it in Config file>Server setting>Message of the day i used both §bServername and \u00A7bServername but its display on server menu as same as what i type with default minecraft text colour.Do i need to use plugin to change my server name letter into colour one?

 

Can you show us your complete server.properties?

 

The § character doesn't do anything in the motd spot of the server.properties file. you need a plugin to change it.
This plugin should work. It just needs it's API version bumped. http://forums.pocketmine.net/plugins/sexymotd.1131/

Uhmmm no, that's wrong.

I think the thread starter's problem is the Control Panel he uses that doesn't support § symbols

 

I recommend you plugin named Custom Alerts. U can change there almost every notification on server and also MOTD
