DigitalOcean is great but it's more on the expensive side.

why can't you host a 24/7 server on windows? If you let your machine run 24/7 it would work.

yup, as I am just too lazy to buy a VPS my server runs since 3 years on a pc which had 10days or so downtime. I have a fast enough internet connection and the PC, with display off only needs 30W. So I pay much less than a VPS, and i have immediate access and probably better specs than you get anywhere. Problems with that?
