How do I link custom items with textures

It is impossible in BDS too, in BDS, custom item might not have id, they just have something that only works if the add-on still installed! Like uuid? :/ name space id?
Just give up, u will just broke the server for something impossible at now

Just give up, the item didn't available in Minecraft Source Code so basically the item doesn't exist!

 

I know. Then why would you claim that it's possible with BDS?!
My first reply with the resource pack was because someone in another thread claimed they got that to work, so I assumed they changed that in a recent update.

 

Come on, seriously! It still add a new item with custom texture but you can only do it with addon, you need to learn how to makes addon and when you made one, the add-on requires resources pack and behavior pack for work, it only works on your Minecraft Vanilla World from 1.12 or BDS but that item won't have id! It could be name space id, random id or something different
And i don't know what is the value for it, I'm not mojang's developer!
