No it's not a lie, at first when i saw shoghi's tweet https://twitter.com/shoghicp/status/826665876057423873 i though it was a joke or some packet to transfer items between inventories (lol why?). But then the beta release dropped and after dktapps threw it at some program it was clear: It is back and it is even better! It's not a hack anymore. It's a proper packet and we also can now provide hostnames and don't need to lookup those. We can literally just send them as a string. Commit I immediately thought about old plugins that integrated with the fast transfer api, some even written by myself for my server. So it would be awesome if they could just be brought back to life. And yes it's really easy. I patched FastTransfer to work with the new packet, while providing 100% compatibility https://github.com/robske110/FastTransfer. You can just bump the api of the old plugins, hope they still work on 3.0.0 and drop the FastTransfer in, and bingo: Everything works.
