Stop users posting links, fancy permission tags. Discords moderation tools are better than most other services out there, whether you refuse to accept that or not is not my problem. They may not directly affect the users either, but they indirectly help keep everything under control.

Discord may not be perfect but it's pretty damn good compared to many other wanna be services out there. I'd say give it a trial run and see how it goes and if you don't like simply delete the server and continue using IRC.

Slack requires invitations, unless somebody wants to make an email service dedicated to pmmp just so users can join it is highly inconvenient having to add users one-by-one.

Exactly. As I said, I have never seen such need on PocketMine IRC. And you can simply start another IRC channel #pocketmine-mob-ai if you feel like to.

At least I don't see any team members who want to. If you want to chat live why not just do it among yourself?

Write your own IRC bot. Definitely better customization than anything else.
