    Hey folks.

    I've got the version 1.7dev-941 on my Ubuntu 17.10 server but when I connect to the server w/ any Win10 client I am sitting in the dark and running `/time set day` doesn't change things. it says it's setting the time to 0, but alas, no sun.

    server.properties looks like this:
    Code:
    announce-player-achievements=true
    auto-save=true
    xbox-auth=off
    allow-flight=true
    allow-nether=true
    difficulty=1
    enable-command-block=true
    enable-query=true
    enable-rcon=true
    force-gamemode=off
    gamemode=1
    generate-structures=true
    generator-settings=
    hardcore=off
    level-name=world
    level-type=DEFAULT
    level-seed=
    max-players=4
    online-mode=false
    op-permission-level=2
    pvp=false
    spawn-animals=true
    spawn-monsters=true
    spawn-mobs=true
    spawn-npcs=true
    spawn-protection=16
    view-distance=8
    white-list=false

    ideas?

    Try /time start before executing /time set day

    Thanks for the tip. didn't know that was a valid command!
    Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem either :(

    Works fine for me. Maybe black chunks or something? Try removing pocketmine.yml

    I know this may sound dumb, but does your issue of not seeing the sun have anything with you being underwater?

    No dumb suggestions here, I'm a complete n00b just running a server for my kids :D
    If i'm spawning underwater that's a problem, though, any way I can make sure that doesn't happen?

    EDIT: we have a winner! I was spawning underwater. So, new question, is there any way to make sure that doesn't happen?

    You can set your world's spawnpoint with /setworldspawn command.
