PocketMine-MP 4.0.0 was released on 1st December, 2021, featuring a large number of API changes and many improvements, including new gameplay features, newer world format support, security improvements and performance improvements. Sunsetting of 3.x series With the release of 4.0, the 3.x series is no longer in active development and is now officially obsolete. You should upgrade to 4.x as soon as possible. However, since 4.0 requires a lot of work to upgrade to in many cases, the PMMP Team has committed to providing essential updates to the 3.x series for a limited time after 4.0 release. How long will 3.x be maintained for? Currently, we plan to provide essential updates to 3.x until 1st March, 2022. After this date, updates will no longer be guaranteed. You may continue to use 3.x after this date, but no support will be provided for bugs. The PMMP Team has its focus on 4.x and 5.0, and maintenance of 3.x takes time and effort that can be better spent in other ways. Updates to 3.x for newer versions of Minecraft: Bedrock MAY be released after 1st March, 2022, depending on the amount of effort required on the part of the maintainers and the need for such versions. However, these will not be guaranteed and may end at any time after the end-of-life date. But what if my plugins aren't updated? Many public plugins on Poggit have already been updated to 4.x, or there are compatible alternatives available. If your server is reliant on plugins that haven't been updated, you should consider trying to update those plugins yourself, or pay someone else who can do it for you. We are well aware that many servers turn large profits; maybe now is your time to do some good by funding the development of things you find useful. Where can I see what changed in 4.0?
