Portuguese Man o' Wars!

As I was walking on the beach I came across several strange looking lumps. I noticed that they looked like clear balloons tinted with a little purple, and then I realized that they were Portuguese Man o' War!

I almost did xD A wave came and I didn't see it. Glad I looked up and saw the wave carrying one towards my legs. Other than that I just held the phone near it and tried to take pictures as best I could.

 

Awesome! Never knew these creatures existed and there are still much more to discover.

Great! Glad you like it! This is actually the first time I have seen them in real life. I remember thinking they looked cool on nature documentaries
