Hide IP

So my computer just arrived and I'm planning on using it for my server. I want to hide my IP though, so people don't denial of service attack the living out of me. Is there any way I can do this?

 

Players can connect through proxy server which will be on any other public ip. However it's better to add the whole server to that one server with public ip...

 

Get s domain, or use freedns.

People can ping the server and voila, people have his IP

 

So how can you actually hide your IP when you're using local host?
I don't know ;_;
