We don't need a poll. It is not like we are holding a referendum or what. If you want to show approval, please provide some constructive information. Otherwise, it is not really meaningful to show your stance, which nobody cares about. (And we won't see who voted what in the poll anyway).
Exactly why I didn't add a poll it's a little pointless. So I can see how this feature would mess with some of the smooth feel of the website. I don't think the old format for this feature would look good. My suggestion is to make an option below each thread to see all users who viewed/how many users viewed, along with some other stats on the thread to improve user understanding of the thread without compromising the streamlined look.
