Spigot GUIs use Bukkit.createInventory(null, int, "string");, ArrayLists, and metaData. However, I am lost into where to begin in creating a custom GUI for PocketMine. I read on the old forum that it was impossible, I see YouTube tutorials on how to create one, so I wanted to ask whether it is a) indeed possible to create GUIs b) which references to use c) if "impossible," then how it could be made possible. (do not say /command) Many thanks!
Hmm, not quite the GUI I was looking for, but probably could substitute. Example of a Bukkit GUI (I believe it’s called Chest GUI): Cheers for the API.
@Muqsit is pretty knowledgeable about what you're asking. He has a plugin you can use, or just use as a reference if you want: InvMenu. I believe it boils down to creating custom Inventory classes and handling InventoryTransactionEvent to handle the selection of the item.
Yes, this has been possible since the 1.2 server-inventory update. As @corytortoise has said, the InvMenu virion eases InventoryTransactionEvent handling as well as the GUI creation. But it isn't much flexible than that, as of now. Here are some projects that make use of the InvMenu virion: ChestShop, PlayerVaults, BlockPets. More about virions here: https://github.com/poggit/support/blob/master/virion.md
