on which Linux distribution is it better to install the server? I could not find the step by step instructions:
    • Debian?
    • Ubuntu Desktop/Server?
    • CentOs?
    • or something different?

Operating system should be your least priority. All the distros you've listed are equally good as long as it's a 64 bit.

Every one of those should work perfectly fine.

    Warning, subjective thoughts below:
I prefer Debian because it's wide spread.

As mentioned above all those are a really good if they have 64 bit support.

I prefer Ubuntu as its really good in my choice tho..
"Generally, Ubuntu is considered a better choice for beginners, and Debian a betterchoice for experts. ... Given their release cycles, Debian is considered as a more stable distro compared to Ubuntu. This is because Debian (Stable) has fewer updates, it's thoroughly tested, and it is actually stable."
