Hello,I have plans to make a cheap server but idk how many ram should I choose.I'm thinking to buy a server with 1024MB or a server with 2048MB ram.If I have 1024MB ram,how many players can I have to my server and if I have 2048MB how many players can I have?
how much ram you have actually doesn't have a great impact on your server 1024 mb (1GB) of ram should be enough for any server under 40 or so people 2048 mb (2GB) would be enough for about 70-90
It also depends on the worlds. How many chunks may be loaded etc. I have 4 GBs for 40 players because of the worlds (only 1.5 - 2 are in use, I could have 3 GBs, I know) If it is a factions server, it is better to have the 2 GBs plan Nice joke
lol i have a friend who was considering buying a ryzen thread ripper cpu to make his "server" till i showed him my 200 dollar laptop with a 1Ghz 2 core cpu
32 gb, what a waste, if you ever noticed, PMMP rarely used > 1gb of ram unless there's leakage, most times you should have invested it into some better CPU for example it wont be worthwhile unless you know you will be doing other things with it un used ram = wasted ram it's like buying a mansion but only living in 1 small room
