How do I configure port forwarding using the command line on Linux? Is this possible?

Also, is it possible for me to use a different port than 19132?

if your vps allows ipv4 ports
if you doing st home you would need your router
to change your server port check server.properties

So changing the port in server.properties would change both the TCP and UDP ports?

port forwarding is not configurable in a local terminal because the computer cannot decide to open the router port. Only the router can. Therefore, the setting is on the router, not the machine and cannot be accessed through a local terminal.

Are you on your own computer running Linux, or are you using a VPS? Because if it's the later, most VPS hosts provide the server with all ports already opened. If it's the former, than you can't do it from the command line and must do it from the router, like @jasonwynn10 said. You may be able to find instructions on how to do that here: https://portforward.com/router.htm
Or by looking up your model of router on Google.
