Forcing mcpe to change?

I know it can seem stupid but what about a exact copy of minecraft but open-source and that would work with PocketMine-MP? Maybe by making that, people would go to this version and it would force microsoft to change, to even maybe open the source code? Maybe sell it lots less than right now....for a blocks game, minecraft is expensive..This is just a idea.

 

Minecraft is not open source for a reason, the game would lose quite a bit of quality (more than already) and would lose many player’s who are attempting to compile the source on a iOS/Android device. The game is only 26.99 USD or so it is actually pretty cheap.

 

35 CAD for window 10 for the same game as android..

This is not a AAA game..

 

It's also not priced like one, so I don't see a problem there...

 

A long time ago I was working on a voxel-game similar to Minecraft written in C# with Unity but I never finished it due to the lack of free time. If you browse my Twitter accounts, you should find some old tweets with the screenshots of that game. I don't know if a day I'll get back working on it...

Bad idea. Minecraft has something that makes it for 5 years old kids. Thats what made it popular. If you remove that, the only actual thing that you will keep is a copy of the 0.14.3 version, which is the best one in my opinion.
